Martin Mæng Bjørklund

Ph.D. Student

Martin is a third-year Ph.D. student. He obtained a medical degree from Aarhus University and had an internship in Clinical Pathology. While he was a medical student, Martin joined Bentzon's lab where he completed a research year. 

His research focuses on understanding the role of chondroid metaplasia and smooth muscle cells in atherosclerotic lesion development. Besides, he works to develop new animal models of atherosclerosis.

Outside the lab, Martin enjoys running, listening to blues and road-tripping in his BMW.
