Maria Muñoz Hernando

Ph.D. Student

María graduated in Biomedical Engineering at UC3M. During her degree, she studied abroad at NTU in Singapore. Following this, she completed an MRes in Nanomaterials at ICL, focusing on the development of gold nanoparticles.

 

Right now, she is doing her Ph.D. thesis, producing different types of nanoparticles (NPs) for the in vivo imaging of atherosclerosis. She develops the NPs supervised by Dr. Fernando Herranz and conducts all the in vivo and ex vivo analyses under the supervision of Dr. Jacob Bentzon.  

 

In her free time, Maria loves to spend time and travel with her friends and to play any sport.
