Jacob Fog Bentzon

Principal Investigator

I am an MD and Ph.D. from Aarhus University. Starting as a medical student, I trained under the pathologist-scientist Erling Falk to whom I owe a lot of my enthusiasm for atherosclerosis research.

Today, I am Professor in Experimental Atherosclerosis at Heart Diseases and Steno Diabetes Center Aarhus, Aarhus University, and Full Professor at the Centro Nacional de Investigaciones Cardiovasculares Carlos III in Madrid. Outside work I enjoy the other fruits of life: Literature, jazz, sports (on TV), and hanging around doing nothing with my wife and sons.
